The firm and its lawyers are members of the Athens Bar Association (Δικηγορικός Σύλλογος Αθηνών), which is the competent supervisory body.
The practice of law in Greece is a regulated profession governed by Law 4194/2013 (Code of Lawyers, Κώδικας Δικηγόρων) and by the Code of Conduct of the Legal Profession issued under it. Both are accessible through the Athens Bar Association at www.dsa.gr.
Court advocacy is conducted before the Greek courts and international arbitral tribunals. English proceedings are conducted through instructed English correspondent counsel.
Pantazis & Associates is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) of England and Wales. The firm does not practise as a firm of solicitors in England and Wales and carries on no reserved legal activity there within the meaning of section 12 and Schedule 2 of the Legal Services Act 2007 — namely rights of audience, the conduct of litigation, reserved instrument activities, probate activities, notarial activities and the administration of oaths. Our Managing Partner is admitted in England and Wales; that admission supports advice on English-law governed contracts and on international matters, which is not a reserved legal activity. Where a matter requires proceedings in England and Wales, or any reserved legal activity, English solicitors or counsel are instructed.
