Stefanos Pantazis

Stefanos Pantazis is the founding partner of the firm. He is a registered lawyer at the Athens Bar Association and a former member of the Hellenic judiciary — a background that gives him a unique vantage point in private practice: the instinct of a decision-maker, not just an advocate. Few practitioners bring that vantage point, which is what distinguishes Stefanos Pantazis as a lawyer in contentious matters.

After a distinguished career on the bench — handling a broad range of civil and commercial cases at first instance — Stefanos returned to private practice and founded what would become Pantazis & Associates in 2002. His judicial experience means he understands how Greek judges reason, what arguments they find persuasive, and how disputes are actually resolved — as opposed to how they are argued.

Stefanos has particular expertise in civil and commercial litigation before all levels of the Greek court system, from courts of first instance through to the Areios Pagos. He acts in contentious property matters including title disputes, coastal zone proceedings and partition cases. He also advises private clients on inheritance, succession and personal legal matters with a high degree of discretion and care. As a lawyer, Stefanos Pantazis assesses a case the way the bench would before deciding how to argue it.

Stefanos Pantazis holds rights of audience before the Supreme Court of Greece, the senior tier of the Greek profession, which permits him to argue cases at cassation as well as at first instance and on appeal.
